Frankly that umbrella is genius! Just as I was setting off to meet my friend yesterday the heavens opened. As we were going for something to eat I just couldn't face cycling 5 miles in the rain then sitting through the meal soaking wet. I reluctantly walked with my brolly to the tube and sat there feeling grumpy for half an hour. When we came out of the cafe a few hours later the sun was shining and I was so not wanting to get on the tube again. Now if I had had a bike brolly it would have been a different story...
Aha! Sounds like you should start marketing them! I saw someone with a German flag attached to their bike yesterday - nice way of showing support for World Cup teams though I think quite tricky to attach. Perhaps there's a sort of accessory range in "things you can attach on a pole to bits of your bike" ...
