I've got tiny thin "commuting" tyres which feel totally inadequate in the snow and ice ... feel I should put "snow chains" a bit like you used to do with cars in the old days. Maybe there's a cycling equivalent ...KarmaCyclehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15884964466372798027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2795150805374542326.post-35799637872295106442010-01-05T16:03:24.547+00:002010-01-05T16:03:24.547+00:00I cycled home in it, was a bit tricky in places; e...I cycled home in it, was a bit tricky in places; especially between London Bridge and the Peckham end of Old Kent rd, where I did lose my front wheel a bit and resorted to riding on the pavement. Like Paul, going slow and steady, and staying off the already compacted bits helped keep me upright for most of the journey though. My 1.5" road tyres didn't help much.Dougy Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07980498671549034360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2795150805374542326.post-55202557569847073072010-01-05T11:53:46.899+00:002010-01-05T11:53:46.899+00:00and now it's about to happen again ... good gr...and now it's about to happen again ... good grief!KarmaCyclehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15884964466372798027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2795150805374542326.post-29920836490277899612009-12-22T15:03:15.870+00:002009-12-22T15:03:15.870+00:00Much respect to anyone still pedalling in. Losing a little bit of air in my rear tyre, gentle cycling and near stationary traffic all helped keep me upright. Fleecy tights, merino wool shirt and ski gloves made me look like an idiot, but kept me toasty warm

I'm not sure about tomorrow'Stevenoreply@blogger.com
